Pizza Night

The kids have been complaining a lot lately, so we figured we would do something to occupy them.
Little Chefs
We ended up having a pizza night, with the pizzas made by the kids. The kids really enjoyed themselves. It was nice to have an activity where everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I suggested this idea since I remember doing this when I was a kid. When we made pizza, we got to help out and put on the toppings. We changed it a little for our family. 3 kids, so we made 3 pizzas. I bought some focaccia bread for the crust, and the rest of the ingredients were chosen by the kids: pepperoni, sausage and olives. They were all really proud of the pizzas they made and each one was different. I think that helped a bit to know they each had their own style.
It takes a bit more work to get every one involved, but since every one had such a good time with it, it would be well worth doing again. We just need to come up with some more good kid type recipe foods for them to help out with occasionally. Plus it can’t hurt to teach them some skills that will take with them beyond our house (and yes, they will be leaving). You never know, maybe they are future stars on the Food Network. It’s a nice thought anyway.
